Evesham Asparagus Fun Run on 7 June Unfortunately this event has been Postponed due to the bad weather and Crown Meadow being water logged. The Round Table recently gave the rowing club a new training boat - a Virus single trailer - worth £1,700, which enables children, especially the club’s juniors under the age of 13, to try the sport and gain confidence on the water before moving to finer, less stable, boats. The boat is also ideal for children and young adults with disabilities, giving them the chance to try the sport in a boat that is virtually impossible to capsize. Junior coaches from Evesham RC and Round Table members were able to see it in action at the weekend. Cassey Watson is currently the Brittish Womens Racing Drivers Club champion twice running... this young woman has won more than a few races and is one of Britians up and coming racing stars. Evesham Table were priviledged to have Cassey come and speak to them at the Riverside Hotel Offenham. A great night was had by all and Cassey gave an excellent account of how she started in the racing world and how that has shaped both her own future and that of her family. We look for forward to seeing her progress during years to come.... go Cassie!
